I’ve put more than my fair share of hours into Tetris on the NES. Making those lines go away 4 at a time over and over and over to the same repetitive music was certainly a lot more fun than it sounds like I suppose. Perhaps there was even a meditative aspect to it, where you could just zone out and make the things go for awhile.
In any case, this video shows artist Chris Carlson bringing one of my childhood memories to life in a 3D chalk art that he’s animated.. on a chalkboard. Very cool stuff.
