I am a HUGE fan of the whole Lord of the Rings / Hobbit series. I grew up reading the books, and have been able to see all of the films since the beginning… even the craptacular 80s hobbit cartoon. So I decided that I would try my hand at making a super simple piece of jewelry to make any LotR fan happy. And I think I succeeded. This Eye of Sauron pendant only takes about an hour (or less) to make, and takes very little in the way of crafting skill to put together.

The last Hobbit movie is coming out later this year, and to get the party started, I figured I’d show you how to make a super simple DIY eye of Sauron pendant.

So I’m not the type of person who gets really excited about any particular kind of jewelry. Especially not rings. But OH MAN this TARDIS ring is pretty. The outside of the band has bumps that are suspiciously like the Bumps on a Dalek’s armour, and the TARDIS actually spins in its socket. How bloody cool is that!

All it needs now is a tiny jewelled doctor to pop out of it, and it’s perfect!

. So say we all.

I only recently watched the entire BSG series. And now that it’s over, I miss it. There’s just something that it had that made you want to keep watching, and watching and watching. The characters were complex, the stories robust, and the acting superb. That, and the sexy cylons didn’t hurt either.

I have high hopes for the Blood & Chrome series. I really hope that they can turn it into a full fledged TV show, or at the very least, a longer running web show. I think it has the potential to bring back all the good stuff that caprica seemed to be missing.
